Jared Howell, CPO

Jared is a committed and passionate clinician, educator, and researcher. He strives to provide the highest level of patient care through a personalized treatment plan based on the individual needs of each of our patients. He Is well known for pushing the envelope and developing completely customized solutions and even developing completely new product lines in response to the requirements of the patient. He is trained as an engineer, product developer, prosthetist and orthotist, and business lead. He has founded and run multiple clinics, several businesses, and the Baylor College of Medicine Prosthetics and Orthotics education program. He is well respected in the field and recently served as the President of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists in addition to serving on multiple advisory boards and volunteer organizations. He is always striving to create a better experience and a better outcome for his patients. He specializes in Prosthetics and Orthotics with a heavy emphasis on integration of the most innovative technologies, and management of the most complex cases for both pediatrics and adults. He loves the outdoors, hanging with the family, and connecting in his community.

Baylor College of Medicine Ottobock Care CPO, Katy Patterson

Katy Patterson, CPO

Katy completed her Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in 2020. She is fluent in Spanish and has experience treating patients of all ages in both orthotics and prosthetics, with a specialty in pediatrics and upper limb prosthetics. Since graduating Katy has contributed as a research technician for BCM, a curator for the evidence database of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and served as the Chair of the Research Council at Shriners Children’s Texas. Before entering the field, Katy got her degree in mechanical engineering which has influenced her analytical and improvement driven approach. She is passionate about working together with her patients to develop a treatment plan to accomplish their goals and expand their capabilities.
